That’s why Capuchin missionaries established a mission in Chennur, India, and opened the Assisi School in 2015. Situated among rural and low caste Hindus, the school welcomes children who would otherwise be neglected. Residents of the local communities enthusiastically support the mission and school, and a few have even converted to the Catholic faith.
