The Padre Pio Mission School in Lamambari, India will be blessed and dedicated in April and open its classrooms to more than 500 students. This school is a dream come true for Fr. Renny, the Capuchin missionaries, and all the good people of Lamambari. But we have run into a problem. Steel prices have dramatically risen and funds that were intended to help very poor families had to be used to pay steel invoices. Yes, the school will be ready for students. But the missionaries will need to turn some children away because there is little money left to both operate the school and assiste the very poor with tuition and fees.
Can you help Fr. Renny and the poorest of the poor in Lamambari?
The Capuchin missionaries are working in this already impoverished part of India - the far northeast of the country. It is almost entirely neglected by the national government, and the people of Lamambari begin life with the disadvantage of being born in a place that is forgotten by most. These kids deserve a break in life. The poverty they were born in can be conquered with your generous help.
