The Seraphic Mass Association has regularly helped the very small and very new community of Capuchins in Zimbabwe, a nation in southeastern Africa. All 25 Capuchins are under 35! And there is great promise for the Capuchins in Zimbabwe, where a corrupt government over many years has only recently been replaced with a democratically elected parliament and president. Things are slowly improving in the country, but it will take a long time for Zimbabwe to rise out of poverty. The Seraphic Mass Association has helped build St. Padre Pio School and also provides major funding for Capuchin seminary expenses. The SMA wants to help the Capuchins in Zimbabwe grow and become a missionary-sending community in the near future.
