An Update from Buvussi, Papua New Guinea

An Update from Buvussi, Papua New Guinea

Thanks to the generosity of faithful benefactors, exciting progress continues at Holy Family Parish.

Your support helped provide a sawmill that is now allowing parishioners to harvest and mill their own timber for the new church. The men are preparing lumber, the women have planted a parish garden to support those working on construction, and families throughout the parish are contributing what they can.

This church is not simply being built for the people of Buvussi. It is being built by the people.

They Still Need Our Help

Although wonderful progress has been made, essential materials such as structural steel, reinforced concrete, roofing, and cement must still be purchased and transported into this remote region, costs the local community cannot afford on its own.

Closer to the First Mass

With every step forward, the faithful of Buvussi come closer to the day Fr. Nicholas will celebrate the first Mass in their new church, a place where children will be baptized, couples will be married, and generations of families will gather to worship and grow together in faith.

Every gift brings that joyful day one step closer.
